PREPARATION STEPS
| HOW TO PREPARE BRIGHAM TEA | |
|---|---|
| 1. | Prior to using the tea-reeds, please rinse under cold water |
| 2. | Place small 1” bundle of tea reeds (below) in a 2, or 2.5 qt pot |
| 3. | Fill pot with water, place lid on, and bring to a boil. Then reduce and simmer about 15 min |
| 4. | The longer you simmer, the darker red it will get. |
| 5. | Then using a strainer, pour the tea directly into mug or cup and ENJOY! |
| 6. | Finished tea! If you prefer, stir in a little bit of honey or sweetener,
although the tea has a mild, pleasant flavor and doesn’t necessarily require it
|
| 7. | Many people save the reeds and re-steep up to 3 more times. |
| 8. | Another option, is that you may “grind/pulverize” the reeds to make a powdered tea, or for use in making a Tincture. Use only a small amount at a time. Grind on “high”.
Place ground-tea into a tea ball, and simmer in a tea kettle for 10-20 minutes. |
